By choosing to use DossierShift, you ask us to provide the service described in these terms.
2. What DossierShift is
DossierShift is an AI-assisted exploratory service. It uses a conversational interview to create a Human Dossier and suggest possibilities for you to consider.
The purpose is exploration rather than classification. DossierShift may draw attention to patterns, strengths, preferences or possibilities that emerge from what you tell it, but the results are generated by artificial intelligence and should be treated as prompts for reflection.
3. What DossierShift is not
DossierShift is not a recruitment service, employment agency, psychological or psychometric assessment, medical service, legal service, financial adviser or other regulated professional adviser.
A Human Dossier or suggested possibility is not a finding that you are qualified, suitable, eligible or likely to succeed in a particular role, occupation or activity.
DossierShift does not make hiring, employment, eligibility or other similarly significant decisions about you.
4. AI-generated results
Artificial intelligence can produce inaccurate, incomplete, unexpected or inappropriate results. DossierShift's output depends substantially on the information supplied during the conversation and on the limitations of the underlying AI technology.
We do not promise that a Dossier will be complete or that a suggested possibility will be suitable, available, achievable or commercially viable.
You should use your own judgement and, where appropriate, verify important information independently or seek suitably qualified professional advice before making consequential decisions.
5. Your decisions remain your own
DossierShift is intended to support human exploration, not replace human judgement. You decide whether any observation or possibility is useful to you and whether to act on it.
DossierShift does not guarantee employment, career progression, earnings, admission, certification, business success or any other particular outcome.
6. Using the service responsibly
You may use DossierShift for lawful personal exploration. You agree not to misuse the service or deliberately interfere with its operation.
You must not use DossierShift to:
- break the law or encourage unlawful conduct;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to DossierShift, its infrastructure or its administrative systems;
- introduce malware, malicious code or automated traffic intended to damage, overwhelm or disrupt the service;
- impersonate another person or deliberately submit another person's private information without an appropriate reason or authority;
- use DossierShift output as the sole basis for making a hiring, employment, credit, insurance, housing, healthcare or other consequential decision about another person; or
- reproduce or exploit the service itself in a way that infringes our intellectual-property rights or those of another person.
7. Information you provide
You are responsible for the information you choose to enter into DossierShift and for ensuring that you have a lawful basis for providing information about another person.
Please do not provide sensitive personal information such as medical details, identification numbers, financial information, or private information about other people. DossierShift does not need this information to conduct the interview.
You keep whatever rights you already have in information you submit. You give us permission to process that information only as reasonably necessary to provide DossierShift and as otherwise described in our Privacy Policy. If you separately choose to allow product-learning retention, information may also be used for that purpose in accordance with your consent and the Privacy Policy.
8. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what information DossierShift processes, why we process it, how long we retain it, the service providers involved, and your data-protection rights.
You do not need to create a visitor account to use DossierShift.
9. Your Dossier and PDF
DossierShift may allow you to download your generated Dossier and possibilities as a PDF for your own use.
You may keep, print and share your own generated Dossier. Before sharing it, remember that it may contain information derived from what you told DossierShift and could therefore reveal personal information about you.
10. DossierShift intellectual property
DossierShift's software, interface, branding, visual design, prompts, methodology and other original service materials are protected by intellectual-property law where applicable and remain the property of their respective owner.
These terms do not transfer ownership of the DossierShift service, software, branding or underlying technology to you.
Nothing in these terms prevents you from using your own downloaded Dossier for ordinary personal purposes.
11. Third-party technology
DossierShift relies on third-party technology and infrastructure, including AI, hosting and network services. These services can experience outages, errors, delays or changes that are outside our direct control.
Our Privacy Policy provides more information about the principal service providers involved in processing information.
12. Availability and changes
DossierShift is currently an evolving service. We may improve, modify, replace or discontinue features as the service develops.
We do not promise that DossierShift will always be available without interruption or that every feature will remain available indefinitely.
If we make a change that materially affects the terms governing your use, we will update these Terms of Use and the date shown at the top of this page.
13. Suspending misuse
We may restrict or block access where reasonably necessary to protect DossierShift, its users or its infrastructure, to investigate suspected misuse, or to comply with law.
We will exercise this ability reasonably and will not use it to remove rights that consumers have under applicable law.
14. Responsibility and liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, and any other liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
Nothing in these terms affects any statutory rights you have as a consumer.
DossierShift is an exploratory tool. Subject to the protections above, we are not responsible for losses that result solely from treating an AI-generated observation or possibility as a verified fact, professional assessment, guarantee or instruction when it was not presented as one.
We also are not responsible for events outside our reasonable control, although this does not affect responsibilities that the law does not allow us to exclude.
15. If there is a problem
If you believe DossierShift has not been provided as described, or you have another concern about the service, please contact [email protected]. We will try to understand and resolve the issue.
Privacy and data-protection enquiries should be sent to [email protected].
16. Applicable law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply to you.
If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the United Kingdom or in another jurisdiction, nothing in these terms is intended to deprive you of mandatory protections or rights to bring proceedings that applicable law gives you.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms of Use as DossierShift develops or where legal, technical or operational requirements change.
The date at the top of this page identifies the current version. Changes apply to use of DossierShift after the updated terms are made available.
